Today I created a power point of the genre Hip-Hop. I found this really enjoyable as this is my favourite genre in which I have a strong passion for, this enables to include much of my own knowledge, as well the opportunity to learn things which I didn't already know. Hopefully this may also teach those unfamiliar with Hip-Hop more about the genre and the culture of Hip-Hop.

Here is a document of the my chosen songs lyrics, I feel that the lyrics are a prominant aspect in a music video so I have chosen to include them in my video by having them flash up on the screen and also projected onto the characters and their background. Lyrics

Today I was watching some of Omarion's previous music video's, this gave me an insight to the style of some of his videos which has given me some ideas for the music video of his which I am to create.

Today I was watching the music channel and saw a song which was similar to my chosen song, I saw that the director had mixed both performance scenes with narrative scenes which I felt worked really well. I feel this is something I will consider when filming and editing my music video.

Today I began editing my footage, previously I thought that this would be something i'll find challenging, however I found it a lot easier than I expected and actually began to enjoy it :)

I have decided to change the choice of song for my music video. This is something I have discussed with some of my peers and have taken advice on. 

I have now chosen 'Omarion - M.I.A. (Feat Wale) as the song or my music video instead of my previous choice. The reason for my decision is because I feel this song will be easier for me to come up with concepts and ideas for visuals. Particularly the theme of the song which is relationship issues, I find this is a more conventional topic for a R&B song and would allow me to incorporate a narrative in my music video.

Today I completed a planing task which allowed to focus on fashion and plan the costumes for my main two characters in my music video. This is something I enjoyed since I have a strong interest in fashion and allowed me to reflect this in my work.

The official video for 'Angel - Wonderful' is released and had consisted of similar ideas in which I intended to use. Looking at this video can create inspiration for my coursework and highlight possible connotations for the lyrics. This also serves as a pointer to avoid ideas which have already been used.

Today I have narrowed down my possible choices of songs for my music video to one song. The song I have chosen is Angel - Wonderful. This is song is extremely catchy and hold a feel good vibe to it which I feel will be easy to create Ideas to, along with positive lyrics which can evoke good visual connotations.

Today upon looking at the coursework specification, I have decided to chose the genre of my music video. I have chosen the genre of R&B this is a genre which I am familiar with and feel is an extremely popular genre. I reason as to why I chose this is because there are many concepts and themes which appear in this genre, in which I feel I can emulate in my own coursework.
